I studied at Collège Laval, a private
school, from grade 7 to 11. Now, I am in my second and last year at Lionel-Groulx College in Literature in the Theatre Profile.
I chose this program not only because I am passionately fond of acting, but because Theatre is an excellent manner to improve
the way to express myself. At school, I have great marks because I am very concentrated and focused on my studies. I also
work hard to manage my life well. The majority of my time is devoted to my studies because it is the most important priority
for now. I am a dedicated worker in everyday life and I am not afraid to work hard to accomplish and reach my future goals.
I can easily concentrate on what I have to achieve and keep my personal life separate when I have to work. Theater helps me
to be at ease in front of the public and to easily work with groups. Besides, everything I have learned will be really significant
for my future, at work or in life in general and it is important not to forget it.
One major element of Theatre is communication
and I realised it from my past experiences and that’s why I wish to continue studying in Communication. Furthermore,
I really enjoy working in groups because it is more productive and I have to deal with everybody in the group and make sure
everyone is alright in every decision. Working with other people is a challenge for everyone. Thinking about communication
leads me to another option: Teaching. Actually, I am fond of working with people, young and old, and explain my ideas
and sharing my knowledge and the notions I know.
Through my college studies, most
particularly in Theatre, working with other people has made me realised how interesting it could be to deal with others. I
have also learned how to communicate easily and to explain my thoughts, feelings and ideas. Now, I am not shy in front of
the public and am able to explain my point of view or give ideas to a group of people. That’s why teaching is a job
for me.
